Saskia Boelsums. Artist With a Camera

Dramatic skies, rain-swept vistas, fields of flowers, a single piece of fruit; Dutch photographer Saskia Boelsums’ work encompasses subjects both small and vast. This career overview, accompanied by an interview with the artist, explores how she has evolved as an artist, from still life and portrait photography to her well-known impressionistic landscapes. She lives and works under the same skies as the Dutch Masters, and she references their influence in her approach to colour, light and subject. Saskia Boelsums: Artist with a Camera is her third monograph from Lannoo, and it captures the range of her work in a beautifully presented volume of words and images. Text in English and Dutch.
