Tracé Bleu

This book presents the profound architectural philosophy and two decades of built work in China by the renowned French studio Architecturestudio. This volume delves into the studio s innovative "Tracé Bleu" concept—an open-ended framework advocating for ecological sustainability and deep humanistic reflection. It champions a philosophy of "thinking before building," emphasising a return to the land, the protection of ecosystems, and responsible resource management in response to global climate and social challenges. The book illustrates how this forward-thinking approach is translated into a tangible, refined governance framework for the human habitat through specific projects. More than a retrospective, it documents a dynamic, ongoing dialog that redefines the architect s role, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and builds a collective vision for alternative ways of living, solidifying the studio s contribution to the integration of architecture, ecology, and culture. Text in English and Mandarin.
